About this site

Development

This site was painstakingly hand-coded over a period of eight-to-nine weeks working in the evenings and weekends throughout early 2026.

Hardware & Software

My current set-up (as of Spring 2025) is a 2023 Mac mini M2 with 32Gb of RAM and a 2024 15-inch MacBook Air M3 with 24Gb of RAM and 1TB Flash storage, both running macOS Sequoia 15.4.1.

I no longer use Sublime Text as my text editor, and instead use Microsoft's VS Code, which has become a popular choice amongst developers and also use MAMP Pro as a self-contained server environment for testing.

For graphics work, I have replaced Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, (part of the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription) with Affinty Photo & Designer.

The excellent SVGViewer online tool was invaluable in helping me understand how SVG assets were constructed, and used to customise SVG icons/images from The Noun Project.

Front-end Framework

This responsive website was built using the Bootstrap 5 front-end framework and will adjust its layout and formatting to render appropriately according to your device's screen size. Try resizing your browser window or view this site across different devices. It's almost like magic!

Previous Versions

The first version of my website was built in 2017 and maintained up until 2025. It can still be accessed here: https://v1.yoochwan.com.

Version 2 of this site was originally built over a period of eight-to-nine weeks working in the evenings and weekends in the Spring of 2025, with on-going work to improve the site and keep it up-to-date.
