  • Role and responsibilities spread across two teams

  • Working as Lead Designer within the "Fusion" app platform team, responsible for the Order Modelling & Dealing (OMD) suite of apps.

    • Working with Product Owner, Business Analysts, Developers and LDI (Liability-Driven Investment) Traders to design and develop a new suite of applications to replace a legacy monolithic system.
    • Identifying existing pain-points, design new workflows, improve existing workflows and usability with legacy system touchpoints.
    • Design of a new Order Trade Blotter (OTB) which interfaces with Bloomberg B-Pipe live pricing service, Symphony Chat, iPushPull and in-house legacy applications to provide users with an end-to-end workflow to source trade orders from various Order Management Systems (OMS), view risk and pricing data and RFQ (Request-for-Quote) functionality with counterparties, execute trades and enrich post-execution data.
    • Design of a new Position Explorer app, enabling Portfolio Managers and Investment Analysts to view detailed client OTC derivative positions with functionality to unwind or offset positions to adjust portfolio risk and visually view resulting impact to portfolio risk before orders are executed in the market.
  • Lead designer within the "Integrated Solutions" team, responsible for the UX/UI direction of the "Flow" application which manages and monitors corporate clients' DB (Defined Benefit) Pension Schemes with views to monitor cashflows, risk and surplus at the client and portfolio levels, and perform scenario (what-if) analysis. Users of this system are portfolio managers, client solutions team, and quantitative analysts.
  • Key member of the UX Community of Practice (CoP), contributing to setting design standards and patterns for the Design System, conducting UX peer reviews and interviewing job applicants.
  • Key member of the Design System Guild, consisting of UX designers and Developers, instrumental in providing direction, key insights and learnings from my past experience in designing and building out design systems for previous companies (Refinitiv, London Stock Exchange Group).

  • Lead UX Designer for one work-stream within the Lending Lab to design the digital lending user journey for both business-banking customers and colleagues.
  • Design of a real-time lending application tracker and documentation e-signing service with documentation retrieval on the customers' facility servicing overview screen, enabling them to re-download signed agreements and other relevant documents pertaining to their lending application(s).
  • User journey for digital documentation and e-signing rated "easiest to use" (4.9 on a scale of 1 to 5) by non-Lloyds business banking customers in user-testing sessions to validate an initial proof of concept workflow and design solution via the use of an interactive Axure prototype.
  • Contributing to a wider team effort to reduce the business customer's "time-to-cash" on commercial loan applications from an average of 16 days down to 1 day, a reduction of 94%, by designing an effective and intuitive user-interface facilitating real-time application tracking and document e-signing.
  • UX/UI design of a Commercial Loan Pricing Tool for internal use by colleagues.
  • Initial design of a new Solicitors & Third Parties portal for commercial property lending documentation & e-signing.
  • Working with PEGA engineers to provide design input in developing new screens within PEGA to facilitate the data capture and workflow required by a colleague (Relationship Managers) in providing commercial lending via digital and telephony journeys.

Working within the Financial & Risk Division as part of the UX team on strategic projects and for the Eikon platform which is a suite of software products providing easy access to trusted news, research data and analytics and displayed in a highly visual way so that it is easy for financial professionals to grasp and act on.

Delivering improvements to workflows and user-interfaces of various Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income “apps” within the Eikon platform and proposing new and improved design patterns.

Projects include:

  • Designing various administrative systems to manage suppliers and third-party data along with their respective rights and duties
  • Reducing the number of user actions required to enroll a customer for a product trial down from 58 to 26, a reduction of 55%
  • Formalising and documenting EIKON's Advanced Search patterns;
